Pan Am Supports Childhood Cancer Research!
For more than 50 years, Pan Am Equities has built a solid reputation as one of Manhattan’s preeminent developers and managers of residential properties. But Pan Am Equities is more than just a developer of buildings. We value the lives of each person who walks through our doors. This year, as we say THANK YOU, we wanted to do it in a way that gives back.
Just two years into his life, Liam Witt was diagnosed with cancer. After learning cancer claims the lives of more children than any other disease due to lack of funding for research, his parents pledged to support funding of research for safer, more effective treatments – not just for Liam but for all kids battling cancer. With the help of 250 volunteers, they baked and sold 96,000 cookies, raising more than $420,000 for research. People nationwide began asking, “How can I help?”
The answer: Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
Liam loved life, his family and friends, the color orange, and lemon cookies! In his 6 years, 8 months and 11 days of life, he taught us how to love more than we could have imagined possible. In many ways, his love continues to live on through Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
Cookies for Kids’ Cancer inspires and supports individuals, businesses and organizations to raise funds for childhood cancer research to develop new, more effective treatments. Pan Am Equities is partnering with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer to make a difference this year. Please accept these cookies as our way to say THANK YOU for your loyalty to us. All profits from the cookies go directly to childhood cancer research.
We are kicking off our Pan Am Good Cookie Challenge! From now through December 31, 2014, Pan Am Equities is committed to matching, dollar for dollar, money our residents raise or donate to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, up to $30,000! If each resident simply made a $10 donation on our fundraising page, we would meet that goal today. Please be inspired to Love Like Liam.
When you choose to Be A Good Cookie, you give hope to the
more than 40,000 kids battling cancer every single day.
